Sound therapy

Barbara practises sound therapy, with a particular interest in the tradition of the Mother Drum.

She works with Cypriot/South African drummer and music therapist HeleniQ Argyrou on djembe and demboulekia, and with US frame drum master and author of the book 'When The Drummers Were Women', Layne Redmond, on traditional Mediterranean frame drum and tympana. She also studies with Israeli frame drum wizard, Zohar Fresco.

Barbara has studied sound healing techniques with Ute Weisshar, using mixed metal Tibetan singing bowls.

Barbara's extended training in SKHM meditation, healing and enlightenment practices with Patrick Zeigler blends seamlessly with her sound therapy work. She applies therapeutic Mother Drum heartbeat rhythms and singing bowl tonal vibration to complement her yoga and massage programs.
